Arkansas' Cole Kelley arrested for DWI, careless driving
Things went from bad to worse for Arkansas following Saturday's 33-10 loss to No. 24 LSU, as quarterback Cole Kelley was arrested early Sunday morning for driving while intoxicated and careless driving, according to Fayetteville District Court records.
Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema issued a statement Sunday following Kelley's arrest.
“I was informed early this morning of an incident involving Cole Kelley. We are gathering all information from the proper authorities and will make a determination upon review of that information,” Bielema said.
Prior to Saturday's loss, Kelley had filled in for injured starting quarterback Austin Allen for the previous four weeks. Allen made his return against the Tigers, and Kelley completed just 3-of-10 passes for 36 yards and an interception.
Over the course of the entire season, Kelley has played to the tune of a 57.6 percent pass completion for 1,038 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions.
