LSU head coach Ed Orgeron has found the crown jewel of his 2018 recruiting class, as five-star wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. announced his commitment to the Tigers on Friday, according to ESPN's Gerry Hamilton.
The product of Bossier City, La., elected to stay local, despite receiving offers from programs including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Marshall's commitment is a huge win for Orgeron, as LSU previously did not have a recruit inside ESPN's top 100. Marshall is listed as the No. 10 recruit on the ESPN 300 and the No. 2 wideout in the class.
The announcement marks the first time LSU has landed a five-star recruit since cornerback Kevin Toliver II in 2015.
