Alabama's top defensive prospect is heading to the NFL.
Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban announced Thursday that defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick has elected to forgo his senior season and enter the 2018 NFL Draft, according to Matt Zenitz of AL.com.
Fitzpatrick has been heralded as one of the best defensive prospects in this year's draft, with most expecting him to be taken in the first round. The junior finished the season with 60 tackles, eight passes defended, 1.5 sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble.
Saban also confirmed earlier reports that defensive back Ronnie Harrison, defensive tackle Da'Ron Payne, running back Bo Scarbrough, and wide receiver Calvin Ridley will also be entering April's draft.
