Missouri's Odom appears to take shot at former OC Huepel
Missouri head coach Barry Odom was present to formally introduce new offensive coordinator Derek Dooley on Friday, and he seemed to take a shot at former OC Josh Huepel in the process.
In discussing his anticipation for the impact Dooley will have on the program, Odom made it clear he wants a coach who is on the same page as the rest of his staff, and one that "doesn't have hidden agendas," according to Dave Matter of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Huepel, the man Dooley is replacing, left the program on Dec. 5 to become UCF head coach. While Odom did not explicitly mention Huepel, the comment is interesting considering the purpose of Friday's press conference was to fill the void that Huepel left after making the jump.
Dooley also commented on how he plans to approach the Missouri offense, assuring his style will resemble more of a professional approach for quarterback Drew Lock, and that Lock will have a heavier mental load than he did under the previous system, according to Alex Schiffer of the Kansas City Star.
