Stanford performance coach crashes 'The Bachelor' to propose to ex-GF
Monday night's episode of "The Bachelor" featured a surprise appearance by a Stanford football coach.
Cardinal sports performance coach Ross Jirgl travelled to Peru to profess his love to ex-girlfriend Becca Kufrin, one of the three finalists remaining on auto racer Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s season. Jirgl and Kufrin were in a relationship for seven years before she broke things off.
Jirgl first confronted Luyendyk, explaining, "As long as I've thought about her, that's my proposal to give her. She's the love of my life, I want to marry her," according to Variety's Kirsten Chuba.
His attempt to win Kufrin back ultimately failed, as she made it clear she no longer has feelings for him.
“I would have swam here if I had to.”
