Standout wide receiver Demetris Robertson is transferring from Cal after two years with the program for personal reasons, he announced Thursday.
Robertson appeared in only two games last year due to injury, but had 50 receptions for 767 yards and seven touchdowns during his freshman campaign in 2016.
As an undergraduate transfer, Robertson won't be eligible to play for another FBS school this season. He'll take two years of eligibility with him to his new team.
The Savannah, Ga., native was one of the top wideout recruits in 2016, and could attract interest from a number of top programs over the coming months.
