Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis suffered a torn ACL in his right knee while training last week and underwent successful surgery Tuesday, head coach Nick Saban announced via a club statement.
Saban added there is no timeframe for Lewis' return at this time.
A four-star recruit in the 2016 class, Lewis heads into his junior year in 2018. The pass-rusher made 11 appearances as a freshman, but he appeared in four games with just one start as a sophomore due to an upper arm injury suffered in the season opener.
He's recorded a total of two sacks in 15 games.
