Longest U.S. high school football win streak snapped at 70 games
The longest active high school football win streak in the United States came to an end on Friday night.
Wisconsin's Kimberly High School had its 70-game win streak snapped with a 31-28 loss to Fond du Lac. It was Kimberly's first loss since falling 31-7 to Arrowhead in a 2012 state quarterfinal game, according to the Post-Crescent.
Kicker Jared Scheberl hit a 26-yard field goal as time expired to secure the victory for Fond Du Lac.

Kimberly's 70-game run was tied for the 13th longest winning streak ever by a high school football team nationally. The all-time record belongs to De La Salle High School in Concord, California, which won 151 consecutive games from 1991 to 2004.
