Watch: 'Mean' Joe Greene helps North Texas unveil throwback jerseys

"Mean" Joe Greene's old No. 75 jersey will be on the field this weekend when North Texas takes on Louisiana Tech.

The Mean Green unveiled their throwback jerseys for Saturday's game with a re-enactment of Greene's iconic Coca-Cola commercial from 1979.

North Texas will also unveil a bronze statue of Greene outside the main entrance of Apogee Stadium prior to the game.

"I am overwhelmed by the thought of a Joe Greene statue at the University of North Texas," Greene said in a statement. "It is beyond my wildest expectations that the university thought enough of me as a player and a person to bestow such an honor to me and my family. It will be special for my kids, grandkids and all the generations that follow to see their father and grandfather displayed in such a manner."
