Michigan linebacker Devin Bush repeatedly kicked at Michigan State's midfield Spartan logo following a pregame incident, reigniting the two schools' rivalry extra early Saturday morning.
Bush was confronted by Michigan State players, while staffers intervened to prevent a physical altercation.
The fracas took place after the Spartans showed up 10 minutes late for their traditional march across the field - for which Bush and a couple teammates refused to move - according to a Michigan official, via Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News.
The Michigan State grounds crew did its best to repair the damage once both sides went their separate ways.
