Deondre Francois dismissed by Florida State
Florida State has dismissed quarterback Deondre Francois from the program, head coach Willie Taggart revealed in a statement Sunday.
"Last night, I informed Deondre Francois that he is no longer a member of the Florida State football program. As we build a new culture and foundation for FSU Football, we have high expectations for all of our student-athletes and we will not shy away from those high standards of conduct. We are moving forward as a program," Taggart wrote.
No reason was given for Francois' dismissal.
The quarterback won ACC Rookie of the Year in 2016 but missed the 2017 campaign after injuring his patellar tendon in the season opener. Francois completed 57.3 percent of his passes for 2,731 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions last year.
