Lewis, Palmer, Peppers headline 2020 College Football HOF candidates
The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame announced Monday the candidates for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2020.
A number of former NCAA stars headline the upcoming ballot, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Ray Lewis, Tony Gonzalez, Morten Andersen, Eric Dickerson, and Marvin Harrison.
Other notable names among the 215 candidates include Carson Palmer, Julius Peppers, C.J. Spiller, Dallas Clark, and James Laurinaitis.
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is among the first-time eligible candidates in the divisional category, which includes players outside the highest level of Division I football.
The 2020 class will be announced prior to the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 13.
