Vikings COO named Big Ten commissioner

The Big Ten Conference introduced Minnesota Vikings chief operating officer Kevin Warren as its next commissioner at a news conference on Tuesday.

Warren becomes the first African-American commissioner of a Power 5 Conference.

He'll begin his new role on Sept. 16 and transition under current Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany, who's retiring in March 2020.
