LSU's Jefferson: 'We're going to dominate' Alabama
LSU's offensive players appear confident two weeks before college football's most anticipated game of the season.
The No. 1 Tigers travel to Tuscaloosa for a road date with No. 2 Alabama on Nov. 9, and LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson believes the matchup will feature a far different result than last year's 29-0 defeat.
"We're going to dominate," Jefferson said, according to Glenn Guilbeau of The Lafayette Daily Advertiser. "I mean, there's nothing much to it. I mean, we owe them. So, we're going to get to it."
LSU hasn't topped the Crimson Tide since 2011, but this year's Tigers team fields the nation's third-ranked offense led by Heisman candidate Joe Burrow.
"They haven't seen an offense like us yet," Jefferson said.
"We're going to come for their heads," he continued. "I mean, we're going to do what we need to do. We're excited to go against them and want to come out with a win."
The winner of the tilt will be the favorite to earn the top spot in that week's College Football Playoff rankings and a berth in the SEC title game.
