Vince Young loses Rose Bowl MVP trophy after storage unit auctioned off
Vince Young's 2006 Rose Bowl MVP trophy has surfaced on eBay after a storage unit belonging to the former Tennessee Titans and University of Texas quarterback was auctioned off.
The woman who won the auction told TMZ Sports she paid a few thousand dollars for the unit, which was sold in November after Young failed to pay his fees. She has listed Young's MVP trophy, Maxwell Award, and Manning Award on eBay for $50,000 each, but she said she'd be willing to re-sell the items back to the former pivot if he's interested.
Other items in the unit included the football from Young's first NFL touchdown pass and helmets he wore throughout his career, according to TMZ.
Young is the second former NFL player this year to lose memorabilia in a storage unit auction. Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens filed a $1-million lawsuit against an Atlanta storage company in September for selling off several of his football possessions.
