Mark Emmert open to bringing back NCAA Football game
NCAA president Mark Emmert is open to reviving EA Sports' NCAA Football video game series, but with some conditions.
Emmert was asked about the future of the game during a panel at the Aspen Institute in Washington on Tuesday. He highlighted three issues tied to its potential relaunch, according to Jane McManus of the Marist's Center for Sports Communication.
On the NCAA video game: NCAA president Mark Emmert said he is open to bringing it back, but would need 1. assurances that no more lawsuits would be filed, 2. a group license deal that gives students a voice 3. without giving them a union and making them employees. #aspensportslab

EA Sports pulled the plug on NCAA Football in 2013, but there's been talk of it making a comeback following the NCAA's board of governors opening the door for student-athletes to benefit from the use of their name, image, and likeness.
The NCAA's three divisions have been given until January 2021 to implement new rules.
