Despite the presence of highly touted wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III, Smith was the Crimson Tide's leading receiver in 2019.

Jeudy 77 1163 10
Ruggs 40 746 7

Smith burst onto the scene by catching the game-winning touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa in overtime of the 2017 national championship game. He recorded just seven catches during his freshman year before hauling in the title-winning 41-yard score.

"There's a lot I have left to accomplish as a player and as a student, and I feel that my time is not up at Alabama," Smith said in an Instagram post. "I have unfinished business to take care of and the only way to do that is to stay one more year."
