LSU quarterback Joe Burrow threw his 59th touchdown of the campaign in the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship, breaking the FBS single-season record.
Former Hawaii star Colt Brennan threw 58 touchdowns in 2006 to establish the previous single-season mark.
Burrow's 59th touchdown toss of the year was also his fourth in the national title game against Clemson. Touchdown Nos. 56, 57, and 58 came in the first half, while the record-breaking throw took place in the third quarter on a four-yard pass to Thaddeus Moss.
Another one.
