Clemson's 2021 class received a major boost Tuesday as four-star recruit Will Shipley announced his commitment to the Tigers.
Shipley is the second-ranked running back in his class and No. 22 overall prospect in the ESPN 300.
The reigning ACC champions were thought to be the favorite to land the 5-foot-11 tailback's services despite the fact Shipley received offers from a number of other big-time schools, including Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.
Shipley is Clemson's second-highest-ranked commitment from the upcoming cycle. Head coach Dabo Swinney received a pledge from five-star outside linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in September.
The Tigers have now landed six top-100 recruits for 2021.
