The nation's top running back recruit of 2020 has finally determined his college destination.

Five-star running back Zach Evans has enrolled at TCU, a source told The Athletic's Bruce Feldman. Evans appeared to confirm the news Monday on Twitter.

Evans - the No. 16 overall player on the ESPN 300 - is a talented runner with one of the most fascinating recruitment stories in recent memory. The native of Houston signed a national letter of intent with Georgia in December but never publicly announced of his commitment. The Bulldogs granted him a full release from his letter in January, leaving him free to sign with a new school.

LSU and Texas A&M were among the expected landing spot for the running back, who also made official visits to Ole Miss and Tennessee but did not select a program on national signing day in February.

Evans will be the highest-ranked recruit in TCU history and the Horned Frogs' first five-star commit since ESPN adapted its current grading scale.

The addition of Evans will give the Horned Frogs three top-100 recruits from the 2020 class.
