Every week during the college football regular season, we'll be recapping some of the things you may have missed over the weekend from a betting perspective.

Here's what stood out following Week 6:

LSU's struggles are real

If you thought LSU's low point of the season was dropping the opener to Mississippi State as a 16.5-point favorite, think again. The reigning national champs lost 45-41 to a Missouri squad that had a -42 point differential through its first two games.

And frankly, LSU was fortunate to only lose by four.

Mizzou out-gained the Tigers offense by three yards per carry and 2.6 yards per pass, and LSU went 0/10 on third down. The defense was arguably worse, as the Bayou Bengals allowed close to 600 total yards to a team quarterbacked by a player who was making his first start of the season.

And defensive coordinator Bo Pelini obviously isn't the answer. The Tigers parted ways with several defensive draftees a few months ago, but nobody expected a bland Missouri offense to run circles around them.

There should be some serious concern in Baton Rouge, especially with a trip to Florida looming next week. I wouldn't be betting LSU unless the number's too good to pass up.

Sell Ole Miss totals

Lane Kiffin's never really emphasized the defensive side of the ball. Through three games at Ole Miss, I legitimately question whether the head coach even knows his defenders' names.

The Rebels' defense possesses one of the most miserable stat lines you'll ever come across. Granted, they played against arguably the most explosive offense in the country in Alabama, but this is just ... impressively bad.

You're probably champing at the bit to get down on an Ole Miss "over" in the future, but I'm pumping the brakes here. Despite the Rebels and their opponents averaging a mind-bending 93.3 points per game, totals will start to suppress with games against Arkansas, Auburn, and South Carolina on the horizon. Plus, the offensive strength of schedule takes a huge step backward for Ole Miss after facing Florida, Kentucky, and Alabama.

Keep tabs on Ole Miss unders in the future.

Iowa State might be fraudulent

I was high on Iowa State coming into the season. Matt Campbell - who left some wins on the table in 2019 - is an underrated head coach, plus they have experience in key positions.

A little more than a month into the season, I'm pessimistic the Cyclones can surge to the top.

They've boosted their stock by beating Texas Tech over the weekend, but now's the time to jump ship. Quarterback Brock Purdy is clearly regressing and doesn't have the personnel to push the ball down the field.

And landmines on the schedule start popping up in as little as two weeks when Iowa State matches up with Oklahoma State. Needless to say, the Cyclones aren't a team I want to bet down the final stretch.
