Zach Charbonnet is transferring to UCLA after two seasons at Michigan, he said Saturday on social media.
The running back entered the transfer portal earlier in January following a quiet sophomore campaign in Ann Arbor. He scampered for 726 yards and 11 touchdowns as a freshman in 2019.
Charbonnet signed with the Wolverines as the No. 5 running back recruit in the 2019 class. He moved across the country after attending Oaks Christian High School in the Los Angeles area.
Barring a waiver from the NCAA, Charbonnet will have to sit out the 2021 season as an undergraduate transfer.
