It will be at least a couple more years before fans will get the opportunity to play EA Sports' new college football video game.
Matt Brown of Extra Points obtained documents from the Collegiate Licensing Company that state EA Sports College Football is slated to launch in July 2023.
EA Sports announced the development of the new franchise in February, marking its first college football game since the cancellation of NCAA Football in 2013.
Over 100 teams will be in the new game, but due to current NCAA rules, EA Sports won't be using the names, images, or likenesses (NIL) of college players, according to ESPN's Michael Rothstein. Notre Dame has already announced that it won't be participating in the game until the NCAA finalizes NIL rules.
