Saban: Bryce Young approaching $1M in NIL deals

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is closing in on earning $1 million in name, image, likeness compensation before even starting a game, according to head coach Nick Saban.

"Our quarterback has already approached ungodly numbers, and he hasn’t even played yet," Saban said, according to Chris Hummer of 247Sports. "If I told you what it is … it’s almost seven figures."

As of July 1, college athletes were able to receive endorsements, do autograph signings, and get sponsorships while maintaining their eligibility.

Young signed on with CAA, one of the prominent agencies that represent many NFL players, and the company is handling his marketing opportunities. He's also inked a deal with Cash App.

A five-star prospect out of high school, Young backed up Mac Jones during the Tide’s 2020 championship run.

The California native is projected to be Alabama's starting passer when the school opens the 2021 season against Miami.
