Report: Ohio State's Ewers signs NIL deal worth $1.4M
Ohio State quarterback Quinn Ewers signed a multi-year contract with autograph dealer GT Sports Marketing, sources told The Action Network's Darren Rovell.
It's a three-year deal worth $1.4 million, ESPN's Tom VanHaaren reports.
Ewers, a top prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, opted to forgo his final year of high school to enroll early at Ohio State.
The Texas native sought to take advantage of the new NIL rules that allow student-athletes to make money while maintaining their eligibility.
The former five-star recruit also signed deals with Holy Kombucha and Ricart Automotive, the latter of which gifted him a new truck, according to Eleven Warriors' Dan Hope.
While Ewers has been able to make plenty of noise off the field, he's still learning the Buckeyes' offense after joining the team less than three weeks ago.
Ohio State tabbed C.J. Stroud as it starter for its season opener against Minnesota on Thursday.
