Twitter reacts to Jackson State landing Travis Hunter
One of the biggest signing day shockers went down Wednesday when Travis Hunter, the No. 2 prospect in the country, flipped from Florida State to play for Deion Sanders and FCS school Jackson State.
Hunter became the highest-ranked prospect to commit to a historically Black college or university since ESPN started its rankings in 2006, declining offers from big-name programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan.
The five-star cornerback's commitment shocked many in the college football world, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the flip:

BREAKING - Deion Sanders at Jackson State has landed the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit, Travis Hunter, a cornerback who HAD been committed to Sanders’ alma mater, FSU. HUUUUUUGE day for Deion, Jackson State and most of all, HBCUs. https://t.co/1kQHjOtqT6

Also, when everyone was fretting about side effects from NIL, I don’t recall NOW JACKSON STATE WILL GET ALL THE BEST PLAYERS as one of the things people worried about.

The fear was further consolidation at the Alabamas and Ohio States. This seems like the opposite of that. https://t.co/iw5z62QU1l

Not only getting a player to go from FSU to Jackson St. Deion Sanders swiping the No.1 recruit from his alma mater. Stone cold. #Sports https://t.co/kjCF2LOrvc

An 11-1 season and signing the No. 1 recruit will get Deion Sanders some major Power 5 interest in the next coaching cycle at this rate.

Maybe the kid just really liked those AFLAC commercials.

Deion Sanders will be the HC at FSU by 2023 and Travis Hunter will join him in Tallahassee. Book it.
