Former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix announced Sunday he is transferring to Oregon.

Nix said on Dec. 12 he was entering the transfer portal after throwing for 7,251 yards and 39 touchdowns in three seasons with the Tigers.

The 21-year-old will join the Ducks as a graduate transfer with two years of eligibility remaining.

Nix will be reunited with newly hired offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham. The two worked together at Auburn in 2019 when Nix won the SEC Freshman of the Year honor.

The signal-caller passed for 2,294 yards, 11 touchdowns, and three interceptions in 10 contests with Auburn in 2021. He suffered a fractured ankle toward the end of the campaign.

Oregon is set to feature plenty of new faces next season. Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning was named head coach after his predecessor Mario Cristobal went to Miami.

Anthony Brown has been the Ducks’ top passer since his transfer from Boston College after the 2019 campaign. Nix will join a depth chart that also features Ty Thompson, Jay Butterfield, and Robby Ashford.

Oregon (10-3) will face Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29.
