Central Michigan replaces Miami in Sun Bowl

Central Michigan will replace Miami and take on Washington State in the Sun Bowl on Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.
The Chippewas were initially scheduled to face Boise State in the Arizona Bowl, but the latter withdrew citing COVID-19 cases within the program. The Arizona Bowl has been canceled now that both teams are unavailable.

Miami was supposed to face Washington State before COVID-19 cases derailed its plans.
Central Michigan arrived in Tucson on Monday in anticipation of the Arizona Bowl, which was also scheduled for Friday. The team will head to El Paso, Texas, for its new game.
The Chippewas went 8-4 in the regular season, while the Cougars played to a 7-5 mark.
