Five-star quarterback Dante Moore announced his commitment to Oregon on Friday.

Moore chose the Ducks over offers from LSU, Michigan, and Notre Dame, among others.

The Martin Luther King High School (Detroit) product noted that Oregon's roster, future potential, and coaching staff played a role in his decision.

"Coach Lanning is going to be a great head coach because he knows what it takes to get to a national championship, of course being at Georgia," he said, according to ESPN's Tom VanHaaran. "Coach (Kenny) Dillingham as the offensive coordinator, I know I can trust in the coming years.

"The playmakers and the team they're building around them will be great for me in the future," Moore added.

The six-foot-three, 200-pound signal-caller is considered the third-ranked pocket passer and the eighth overall prospect, according to the ESPN 300 rankings. He is also rated as the top prospect from the state of Michigan in the 2023 recruiting class.

The Ducks gained their 11th commitment this cycle and added their eighth pledge from the ESPN 300. Moore serves as the crown jewel in the class alongside receivers Jurrion Dickey, Ashton Cozart, and cornerback Caleb Presley.

Moore is the latest touted passer to announce his college choice this summer following Arch Manning's commitment to Texas.
