Report: Texas' Ewers expected to return vs. Oklahoma
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is expected to start against Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown on Saturday, sources told Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Ewers missed the last month with an injury in his non-throwing shoulder but has reportedly been a full participant in practice all week.
The redshirt freshman suffered a significant SC sprain in a loss to Alabama on Sept. 10. He completed 69.4% of his passes for 359 yards and two touchdowns against one interception in the Longhorns' first two games.
Hudson Card has performed solidly while filling in for Ewers, leading Texas to a 2-1 record over the last three contests. He threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns - both career highs - in last Saturday's win over West Virginia.
Ewers will return against a struggling Oklahoma defense that gave up 55 points and 668 yards in a blowout loss to TCU last week.
