Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson could miss the rest of the season due to a broken bone in his throwing hand, according to Brett McMurphy of Action Network.
Johnson suffered the injury in last week's loss to Mississippi State. He finished the game with 19 completions for 203 yards and one touchdown.
The 21-year-old transferred from LSU in December 2021. He took over the starting job in the Aggies' third game of the campaign against Arkansas after quarterback Haynes King struggled in the previous two contests.
Johnson has recorded 517 passing yards for three touchdowns this season.
Texas A&M takes on Alabama on Saturday.
