Five-star quarterback Dante Moore is flipping his commitment from Oregon to UCLA, he told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Monday.

The Detroit native previously committed to the Ducks by giving his verbal pledge in July. However, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Moore made an official visit to the Bruins' campus earlier in December.

Moore is the third-ranked overall prospect in the country, according to the ESPN 300.

"I went on a visit to UCLA," Moore said. "I talked to God and my people and really within myself. I knew that UCLA was the right move for me."

The Bruins pick up just their second ESPN 300 recruit by adding Moore to their 2023 haul. He becomes the highest-rated pledge for UCLA this cycle alongside wideout Jeremiah McClure.

UCLA entered the early signing period with the 50th-ranked class, according to ESPN.

The Bruins finished fifth in the Pac-12 with a 9-3 record. UCLA will close out its 2022 campaign against Pitt in the Sun Bowl.

UCLA is expected to have competition at quarterback with starter Dorian Thompson-Robinson set to leave the program after five seasons. He tallied 10,424 passing yards, 86 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions during his collegiate career.

Former Kent State signal-caller Collin Schlee committed to the Bruins following the 2022 season.
