Daniels initially exited the game for one play before returning. He ultimately called a timeout after a false start penalty and left the contest for good. Sophomore quarterback Greg Nussmeier stepped in for the injured Daniels.
Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner was flagged for roughing the passer for his hit on Daniels. The referees didn't review the play for targeting.
The 22-year-old Daniels was having a remarkable game before the injury. He racked up 382 total yards and three touchdowns, leading LSU to 28 points.
