Report: Oklahoma's Gabriel to explore transfer, could enter draft
Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel is planning to enter the transfer portal ahead of his final season of eligibility, sources told The Athletic's Max Olson.
Gabriel is eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft but will explore his options before deciding whether to declare.
The 22-year-old confirmed he's leaving the Sooners in a social media post Monday.

Gabriel spent the last two seasons with Oklahoma after transferring from UCF, where he started his college career.
The quarterback will likely be a sought-after option in the portal after racking up 3,660 passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns against six interceptions this season. He was unanimously awarded first-team All-Big 12 honors after leading the Sooners to a 10-win campaign.
Mississippi State, Oregon, and USC have emerged as schools to watch for Gabriel, sources told Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.
Former five-star recruit Jackson Arnold is in line to be Oklahoma's QB1 next season. It's unclear if Gabriel will play in the Sooners' bowl game or if the freshman will get his first career start.
