Former Florida RB Trevor Etienne commits to Georgia
Former Florida running back Trevor Etienne has committed to Georgia, he announced Sunday.
Etienne entered the transfer portal Dec 7. after spending two seasons with the Gators. He led the team in touchdowns last season while ranking second in rushing yards.
"I think Trevor's been great for the Gators," Florida head coach Billy Napier said Wednesday, per Zach Goodell of Sports Illustrated.
He added: "I've got nothing but respect for Trevor. His attitude, his practice habits, his contribution to the team, nothing but respect. We wish him well going forward."
Etienne, the younger brother of Jacksonville Jaguars rusher Travis, committed to Florida in 2022. He was the No. 16-ranked running back in the nation, according to ESPN 300.
The 19-year-old played in 24 games with the Gators, rushing for 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns. Etienne is the fourth transfer portal commit Georgia has landed. He joins South Carolina defensive lineman Xzavier McLeod and Miami wide receiver Colbie Young, among others.
