Kicker John Hoyland converted a 24-yard field goal with no time remaining to lift Wyoming to a 16-15 win over Toledo in the Arizona Bowl.

Saturday's victory marked the final game for Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl, who will be replaced by defensive coordinator Jay Sawvel next season.

The Cowboys trailed 10-6 at halftime after Toledo earned the game's first touchdown following an 80-yard run by Jacquez Stuart with 5:19 remaining in the second quarter.

Despite giving up a safety and a field goal in the second half, the Cowboys rallied in the fourth quarter. They narrowed the deficit after Evan Svoboda punched in a one-yard touchdown run. Wyoming drove down the field from its own 6-yard line to put Hoyland in a position to win the game.

The Cowboys conclude 2023 with a 9-4 record, marking the first time they've posted more than nine wins since joining the Mountain West Conference.

Toledo finishes the year with an 11-3 mark.
