Ole Miss transfer RB Judkins commits to Ohio State
Former Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins is transferring to Ohio State, he announced on Monday.
Judkins rushed for 2,725 yards and 34 total touchdowns over two seasons with the Rebels. The 20-year-old entered the transfer portal on Jan. 4.
"I'm looking forward to being a part of a winning culture and helping do my part to beat the TUN (Team Up North) and bring a Big Ten championship and national championship to Columbus," Judkins posted on X.
Judkins emerged as one of the more productive halfbacks in the SEC. He rushed for 1,565 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2022 to earn SEC Freshman of the Year honors. He earned All-SEC recognition in both 2022 and 2023.
The addition of Judkins provides the Buckeyes with a needed boost at tailback. It's unclear if TreVeyon Henderson will stick around for his senior season or enter the 2024 NFL Draft. Miyan Williams and Chip Trayanum are among the halfbacks to have left the program following the 2023 regular season.
Ohio State reels in another big addition via the transfer portal with Judkins' commitment. The Buckeyes recently landed quarterback Will Howard and offensive lineman Seth McLaughlin.
The Buckeyes posted an 11-2 record this season, culminating in a 14-3 loss to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl.
