Former Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Bond announced Sunday he's transferring to Texas.

Bond entered the transfer portal Friday and said his decision was due to Nick Saban retiring, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN. He has been with the Crimson Tide for two seasons after committing to Alabama as a four-star recruit in 2022.

"Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company," Bond told ESPN. "My company right now is my draft stock. I feel like I'm putting myself in position to increase that and have better draft stock."

Bond led Alabama in receptions in 2023 with 48, totaling 668 yards and four touchdowns. He also hauled in 17 catches for 220 yards and a score in his freshman campaign.

The Georgia native is a massive addition to the Longhorns offense, as the team's top five receiving leaders from 2023 won't be returning next season. Bond credited quarterback Quinn Ewers, who's coming back for a third season at Texas, as a reason why he chose the Longhorns.

"I like the whole package that comes with it," Bond said. "Great quarterback, they have a great offensive line. I felt like it was a great spot for me to come to."

Bond is the first Alabama player to enter the transfer portal following Saban's retirement.
