Georgia lands commitment from LB Zayden Walker
Georgia landed a commitment from four-star linebacker Zayden Walker, he told On3's Chad Simmons on Wednesday.
Walker, who attends Schley High School in Georgia, is the No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 15 overall prospect on the ESPN 300.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound defender committed to the Bulldogs several days ago but didn't reveal his pledge to the program until a few days later. He plans to shut down his recruitment now that his decision has been made public.
"It felt like home," Walker said. "I made my decision to commit to Georgia over the weekend when I was on my official visit. I had been close to committing before, but that was the right time. My family was there, I knew that is where I wanted to go and I made my decision.”
Walker announced his intentions to play for head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia over offers from South Carolina, Florida State, and Miami, among others.
"I had colleges pulling at me left and right the last few years, but Georgia is where I can be myself at. They will help me become the best version of me," Walker said.
The addition of Walker provides the Bulldogs with their ninth ESPN 300 commit of the 2025 recruiting class. The Ellaville, Georgia native joins quarterback Ryan Montgomery and tight end Elyiss Williams in a talented group of prospects.
