Deion: 'The whole thing is better' entering 2nd season at Colorado

Deion Sanders is feeling optimistic as he prepares for his second season as head coach at Colorado.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer, who led Colorado to a 4-8 record in 2023, told Fox Sports' Joel Klatt that he believes the Buffaloes have become an all-around better team compared to his first season.

"I think we're better not only on the field, we're better off the field," Sanders said. "And that's not an insult to the guys that were here the previous year, but I think we got better, man. I think I'm better. I think the whole thing is better, and we're not done."

Asked what he hopes to do differently on a personal level in Year 2, Sanders replied, "I gotta act on what I feel and I gotta act on what I know."

"It's like, you see some things, you feel some things - and I'm a nice guy, so I give it a chance to materialize and for it to come to pass," he continued. "And then I call my support guys around the country, you know, Coach Saban and some of the other guys - I don't wanna mention their names - but they give me so much love and advice. I gotta act on it."

Colorado will open its season Aug. 29 at home against North Dakota State.
