Report: Alabama's Proctor doubtful vs. USF
Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is doubtful to play against USF on Saturday, sources told Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Proctor injured his left shoulder in warmups last Saturday against Western Kentucky, which ultimately sidelined him for the season opener. The Crimson Tide offense didn't skip a beat without Proctor, posting 63 points against the Hilltoppers.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer praised Proctor's replacement, Elijah Pritchett, who was thrust into the starting position.
"I'll watch the film, but obviously, there were a lot of good things that happened out there, and you don't do that without great offensive line play," DeBoer said, per Matt Stahl of AL.com. "I'm excited about the way he responded, getting thrown into that position and really just being steady."
Proctor earned All-Freshman SEC honors last season after starting every game at left tackle for the Crimson Tide. He entered the portal and transferred to Iowa in January but ultimately changed his mind and transferred back to Alabama in April.
