Boston College will start quarterback Thomas Castellanos Saturday against Virginia after he missed last week's game due to an undisclosed injury, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
The 5-foot-9, 196-pound passer was hurt during a 23-19 win over Michigan State.
The Eagles improved to 4-1 following a 21-20 win over Western Kentucky a week ago. Grayson James completed 19 of 32 pass attempts for 168 yards and one touchdown. He rushed for another score.
Castellanos returned to practice this week. The junior signal-caller has thrown for 729 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions, and he currently boasts a career-best 64.3% completion rate through four games.
After tallying 1,113 rushing yards and 13 scores last season, Castellanos has recorded 112 and one touchdown in 2024.
