Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, head coach Mike Elko announced Monday.

Moss was injured in the first quarter of the Aggies' loss to South Carolina on Saturday. He took a hard hit to his lower body and was down for several minutes before trainers helped him off the field.

The junior running back spent time in the medical tent and was ruled out for the rest of the game at halftime.

Moss ranks third in the SEC with 765 rushing yards. He also added 10 touchdowns. Amari Daniels, EJ Smith, and AJ DiNota are other Aggies running backs who have received carries this season.

Texas A&M's next contest is against New Mexico State on Nov. 16.
