Former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold is transferring to Auburn, according to On3's Pete Nakos.

Arnold entered the portal in early December after spending two seasons with the Sooners. The 2023 five-star recruit was the No. 3 prospect in his class and the top-ranked quarterback.

The 20-year-old sat behind Dillon Gabriel in his first season at Oklahoma and earned the starting job in 2024. However, he struggled to start the year and was benched for freshman Michael Hawkins in late September.

Arnold retook the starting job a few games later and finished the 2024 season with 1,865 total yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 contests.

The Tigers were looking for an upgrade at quarterback after Payton Thorne struggled this season. Hank Brown, Thorne's backup, also transferred to Iowa on Friday.

Auburn's offense averaged 429.4 yards per game in 2024, ranking sixth in the SEC. The Tigers have an 11-14 record since Hugh Freeze took over in 2023.
