USC remains hot on the 2026 recruiting trail Friday, landing a commitment from five-star defensive back Elbert Hill, according to ON3's Hayes Fawcett.

Hill is the No. 1-ranked cornerback and the No. 15 overall prospect in 2026, according to the ESPN 300.

The Akron, Ohio, native chose the Trojans over offers from Oregon, Alabama, Ohio State, and several other programs.

Hill noted USC's the atmosphere, head coach Lincoln Riley, and the coaching staff as key factors in his decision.

"The players, the incoming players in my class, they've been on me a lot about it," Hill said, per ON3's Steve Wiltfong. "Every time I go down I feel at home. They welcomed me with open arms every time."

Hill confirmed he's also shutting down his recruitment after his announcement Friday.

The Trojans picked up a verbal pledge from a second five-star recruit in as many days after offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe's announcement Thursday. USC is now up to 13 ESPN 300 commitments in a talented 2026 class.
