Marshall QB Rakeem Cato breaks school record for passing touchdowns
Marshall quarterback Rakeem Cato had himself a heck of a first quarter in the team's bowl game against Maryland.
After two quick three-and-outs to begin the Military Bowl, Cato engineered back-to-back scoring drives, completing 5 of 5 passes for 45 yards and two scores.
Cato's second score was his 90th passing touchdown with the program, breaking Byron Leftwich's school record of 89.
The record-breaking score came on an eight-yard connection with tight end Gator Hoskins with 34 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
