Analysis:
The work Mayle put in with Halliday over the winter has apparently paid huge dividends, with WSU wide receiver coach Dennis Simmons telling ESPN.com Mayle "has been very explosive this season." "He's a guy that wants to be good," Simmons continues, adding, "A lot of people say that but you meet very few young men who are willing to put in the work to do that." "When you've got a guy like that with his God-given ability, you've got the potential for some good things to happen," Simmons concludes. Fantasy owners certainly would be wise to turn their attention Mayle's way heading into fall, particularly given the wideout finished his last eight games of last season with 4.4 receptions and 54.9 receptions per game, and ended the year tied with Gabe Marks and Dominique Williams with a team-leading seven touchdowns.
