Top JuCo recruit Patrick Thomas joins Louisville
The Louisville Cardinals have added another quarterback to their roster, and a potential replacement for the departed Teddy Bridgewater.
Head coach Bobby Petrino announced Monday that the top Junior College quarterback, Patrick Thomas, has opted to join the Cardinals.
"I'm pleased that Patrick has joined our program," Petrino stated via the school's official athletics website.
"He is a dual-threat quarterback who adds depth to that position heading into the fall. Patrick is talented and I'm excited to add him to the mix as we head into the ACC this season."
Thomas played at Georgia Military College last season, and threw for 1,695 yards, 17 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while completing 110-of-207 passes.
The 6-foot-4 quarterback will have three years of eligibility remaining, and is expected to compete with Will Gardner, Brett Nelson, and Kyle Bolin for the starting spot.
