Report: Jameis Winston issued citation for shoplifting crab legs

Apparently Jameis Winston couldn't wait for the NCAA to institute their unlimited meal plan.

The FSU quarterback and 2013 Heisman trophy winner was reportedly issued a citation for shoplifting Tuesday, after he was allegedly caught stealing crab legs from a Publix grocery store.

According to a report from Tomahawk Nation, Winston was issued an adult civil citation, which means that if he completes the sanctions, the incident will never appear on his criminal record.

The Leon County Sheriff's department told WTXL TV in Tallahassee that they have had recent "contact" with Winston, and will hold a press conference at 2 pm ET on Wednesday to discuss the situation.

Of course, once the story hit Twitter, things got decidedly ridiculous.

This wouldn't be Winston's first brush with the law. The two-sport athlete was investigated for an alleged rape last year, but the state attorney dropped the case due to a lack of evidence.
