Alabama HC Saban: Parker McLeod considering transfer options
Alabama redshirt freshman quarterback Parker McLeod is set to become the fifth quarterback during Nick Saban's tenure to end his career with the Crimson Tide via transfer.
Speaking with reporters at the SEC spring meetings in Destin, Fla., Saban revealed that Alabama had given McLeod their blessing to start looking at transfer possibilities.
Had McLeod stayed in Alabama, he would have been among a crop of quarterbacks including senior Blake Sims, junior Jacob Coker, redshirt freshman Cooper Bateman and freshman David Cornwell, all vying for the chance to replace departed longtime starter AJ McCarron.
